Beaches

Kepuhi Beach

All Kepuhi Beach condos have a great view of this beach. You will love relaxing by the ocean. Swimming near the condo in the winter months is very dangerous. During the summer when the waves are much smaller you can swim on this beach and there's good snorkeling.

Papohaku Beach - Map

Take a right on Kaluakoi Road out of the condo and drive less than a mile to the Papohaku Park. Or walk across Kepuhi Beach, take the path behind Kaiaka Rock, cross the road to Kaiaka Rock, continue on, it's about 1/4 mile to the beach. There are generally a set of nice tidepools on the south end of the beach, which is closest to us. Walking the beach is beautiful. There are a couple benches along the way.

Pohaku Mauliuli Beach – aka Make Horse Map

Walk down to the pool, turn right and go past the Surfer beach, walk over the ditch and in front of Paniolo Hale condos, at the top of the hill you'll see the beach.

Kapukahehu Beach – aka Dixie Maru Map

Take a right on KaluaKoi Rd out of condo and drive to the end of the road, about 3 miles to beach access.

Kepuhi Bay

Just beyond the pool is the beach the surfers spend a lot of time on.

Places to Eat

Paddler's Inn

Located in Kaunakakai Town, Paddlers Restraunt and Bar offers fine dining cuisine in a casual setting. Paddlers has a full bar, live music most nights. Open from Wednesday-Saturday 12:00pm - 10:00pm.

Molokai Burger

Located at Mile Marker Zero. Molokai Burger serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an air-conditioned restaurant or enjoy the convenience of Molokai's only drive thru. Open Monday-Saturday from 7:00am-9:00pm.

Molokai Pizza Cafe

Molokai Pizza Cafe is the island's longest running, family friendly restaurant, serving fresh dough pizza, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and ribs since 1992. Open Monday-Sunday from 11:00am-9:00pm.

Kamoi's Snack-N-Go

Located behind the Post Office. A popular, casual spot renowned for serving over 31 flavors of Dave's Hawaiian Ice Cream.

Maka’s Korner

Located on the side street, by the Mini-Mart across from Take's. Known for serving American and local Hawaiian cuisine. Offers dine-in and takeout options.

Fish Wagon

Next Door to Molokai Fish and Dive in town. Take out or dine outdoors on their picnic tables. Open Wednesday - Saturday. Usually have fresh fish.

Str8Cheffin

Located accross from Misaki's store, operated by Chef Woody, featuring diverse, locally inspired, and daily changing menus. Open Tuesday-Friday from 10:00am-3:00pm.

Ho'ala Cafe

A charming, highly-rated, and cozy spot in town known for its welcoming, friendly staff, delicious Kona coffee, and speacialty drinks. Offering a variety of fresh bakery items, pastries, bagels and breakfast.

Mana'e Goods and Grinds

Plate lunches and snacks. Great place to stop on the way to the East End. Located at mile marker 13, just past Kaunakakai.

Friends & Coffee

Located in Kualapu'u, a couple doors down from the furniture store. Sandwiches and custom beverages.

Kanemitsu Moloka’i Bakery

A Molokai landmark. On the main street of Kaunakakai. This historic bakery is famous for it's "Hot Bread". The iconic, late-night, cash only operation services this delicacy from a back alley window starting at 7:30pm. Also serving breakfast and lunch daily.

Things to Do

Halawa Valley Falls Hike

Your Halawa cultural adventure will begin when you meet your guide. He will then lead you on foot, through private family owned property where you will witness a traditional Hawaiian protocol. This presentation will give you a better understanding of this sacred place and the host culture.

Kalaupapa National Historical Park:

The Path to hike, or ride to Kalaupapa is currently closed, the only option at the current time is to take a flight to the peninsula. Kalaupapa is the location where in the 1870's patients afflicted with Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) were exiled too.

Molokai Fish and Dive

During Whale season (November - May) Molokai Fish and Dive has whale tours. We also have snorkel tours.

Humpback whales visit Hawaiian waters each year from November to May with the peak of the season being from January to March.

Friendly Market Center

A long-standing, family owned grocery store located in Kaunakakai Town. Open Monday-Saturday from 8am-6pm.

Misaki’s Grocery

A historic, family owned and operated grocery store located in Kaunakakai Town. Open Monday-Saturday from 8:00am-6:00pm and on Sundays from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Maunaloa General Store

Located in Maunaloa Town. Offering essential groceries and sundries. Open Monday-Saturday from 8:30am-6:00pm.

KUMU Farms

Fresh organic fruits and vegetables . Open Tuesday - Friday 9:00am-4:00pm. Take the main road into town and turn on the first paved road before you see the airport.

Molokai Livestock Cooperative

Fresh grass fed beef where they butcher the island livestock. Just past the coconut grove when leaving town on 460. They have beef and pork (sometimes Axis Deer) . Open Monday - Friday 9-4.

Sustainable Molokai

Fresh organic fruits, vegetables and meats. A one stop shopping for natural foods. You order on Monday or Tuesday and then pick it up on Friday.

Barking Deer Farms

They bring their products to Kepuhi Beach Resort on a weekly bases. Check the store down by the pool for dates and times. In the winter months, you can pre-order what you'd like and pick it up when they are on the premises.

Molokai Wine and Spirts -

Located in Kaunakakai. A specialty shop for purchasing a diverse selection of wine, hard liquor, liqueur, and beer. Operating on the main street, it serves a a local, friendly source for beverages, along with a small assortment of meats and cheeses.
